Hopefully 70% of this new thread won't be littered with inane and pointless comments about someone's outfit.

/\  yeah I remember those thin-soled Clark's Mikey, we've had them on here before, I forget exactly which of the the boys posted them ....

I'm with you, I like the regular Wallabee crepe soles better but don't find the others abhorrent at all, they wouldn't bother me .....

Re: Ivy league style for today (part 2)

Well, yesterday I met up with Walker177 for a couple of beers and a mooch around his favourite vintage shops in the East End which made for a very pleasant afternoon. Sadly for some reason we didn't get around to taking any pictures - as he can only be photographed in a particular alleyway in Spitalfields which was closed off for building work. A shame as he was resplendent in a Cricketeer charcoal herringbone, BB Makers plaid BD, LVC 1955 501s and snuff suede chukkas. I was in a J Press plaid tweed jacket, Lean Garment chambray BD, JS chinos and Paraboot suede Avignons with a grubby old olive green Dunn & Co mac on top. There were, according to the news, a million people marching through central London ... something to do with some 'Brexit' malarkey? I don't know, we were too busy talking about important stuff ... like collar roll.

Re: Ivy league style for today (part 2)

though he's been absent from our shores for quite a while I still think of and miss Thee Captain, who I know would approve of the baggy vintage Sears work jeans, own-vintage '99 Supreme t-shirt, and navy low Chucks I'm wearing today .....

here's to you Thee Captain, you salty dog!

Re: Ivy league style for today (part 2)

/\  nice Beebs, first pic reminds me of myself as a young lawyer at the venerable old firm although black shoes were very de rigueur there

second pic with blue ocbd and blue-gray lovat Shetland just looks so chilled and old-school Ivy, once upon a time this was a very casual look for kicking back and doing some relaxed reading for school

enjoying the navy foulard with the maroon and green shapes

also enjoying the Sahara tan three-eyelet boat shoes in the last pic

and it goes without saying that the tortoise and the hare emblematic is a blast for me, it reminds me simultaneously of one of the greatest old Bugs Bunny cartoons, the Wcker Man, the March Hare, and Terrapin Station, gotta love a motif tie that's so allusively rich
